Our preschool children have been enjoying taking part in a whole range of experiments this month.  They are a great way for children to learn problem solving, planning, introducing new vocabulary and questioning skills and understanding of the world around them.

Their particular favourites were the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar experiment which involved mixing the ingredients together along with some food colouring and waiting for them to react to bubble and fizz.  The children were fascinated and this has led to other experiments such as dancing raisins in lemonade, making their own potions in a cauldron and invisible ink when mark making.
